A pattern I am noticing... some of y'all are really just looking for something to jump on in a bad way. I noticed a particular set of drivers in my particular area tend to give dirty looks to my 8. Funny thing is, where I am this is common for those drivers to do to anyone driving a truck, sports car or SUV. So instead of assuming paranoia or whatever, stick to the topic. If you don't have an experience to give on the topic then don't say anything at all. The thread is about people giving us dirty looks. Not "Try to rate the paranoia of the poster/commenter before you."

My car is far from rice with some crazy spoiler on it. I just happen to notice the same thing that most others notice in my area about the type of people that happen to drive a particular car. I get far more compliments on my car than I do any dirty looks. But the thread is not about how many compliments we get on the car.

Just sayin...

 

LOL, yea I've had that happen too a couple times. Waves and thumb ups from the little ones. Made my day(s).

 

I had this guy in an Nissan Sentra SE-R type-V with bright red STOCK rims pull up to me next to a stop light revving his little motor trying to race. When it turned green he passed me of course, as he never got the memo that fast and the furious was played out back in '01. He went all out of his way to follow me to the gas station to tell me how much faster his Sentra is with all his buddies in the car. In their mind, a fwd 177hp motor bolted to a slush box with around 3,100 curb weight is faster.

I have a silver w/ black rims and several mods...although it sits in my garage a lot now b/c it's mainly a track use car....

great to see neighbors - maybe we can go to a meet in a 2 car caravan sometime...lol

 

The Velocity Red one is ours. Just back from Wildwood NJ and the Grand Am race at NJMP with some great stories. We're going to Carlisle next Sat. for the Import show. A great event if you've never been there. Let me know if you want to come along.
