Can he just put 2 13b together like many other people have done????
Also I don't see why it wouldn't fit??? does any1 has any measurements on the 26b??? According to HurleyRotary out of the UK a 20b(or adding a 3rd rotor to a 13b) only adds less than 5in to the total length of the engine so wouldn't a 4th rotor add another 5in or 10in total(from 13b to 26b)?????
There's a few places around the world that would make you a 26b, and I can assure you none of the will ask you for 100k, I'm not saying putting a 26b on an 8 is cheap, but I really don't think it'll run all the way to 100k, I'll say 50k, 60k tops.
Like I said, I'm no expert but by reading some of the answers it sounds like it's impossible in every way imaginable.
you dont just buy the engine and finish... I dont know exactly how tight of a fit a 3 rotor is, but it's not exactly roomy. Also, no you cant just stick 2 13B together. that's the basic concept, but not the end of the process. The eccentric shaft would have to be custom made and it'd have to be very well made. There'd also be a lot of custom fabrication that would go into it. If it required no real modification to the frame or anything like that, your estimate might be accurate, but if it gets into something such as frame work, then it's going to cost a lot to do right.

Another issue to mention that I dont think has been brought up. Does the OP realize he will not be passing emissions if that's a requirement? And I can only assume gas mileage is not an issue...

Well, if he wants a 4 rotor rx8 and he has a boat load of cash, he can get a 4 rotor rx8.

I know you need an eccentric shaft, that's why I posted the links to the sites they all make them, AMV racing makes a 4rotor shaft for less than 8K. I also know you don't just super glue the 13bs together, but all in all 100K is just 2 much for that much you can def. get that six rotor engine in Hurley Rotary into the 8. I say go for it, post your progress and let us know the step by step cost of the project, once that 1st one is done, more will follow.

PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Doing a 4 rotor its not the end of the world, you can put the block togheter for less than $20,000, the hard part for me its the ECU set up,if we had good ECU programers in my country my car would have a 4 rotor a long time ago

go to ausrotary.com there are more than 50 4 rotor cars in australia

the real thing is why? why would you spend the money when you can make the same amount of power for a fraction, a side port 26b would have about 400 RWHP you can get that out of a 13b with a big turbo kit!! an a PP can get up to 600 rwhp but it would not be a good street car

Im doing a 20b swap into my car right now, it is much cheaper than most people say it is, if you go turbo its a little more but I havent decidet to go turbo or NA
