OK DK, I'm going to give you the benifit of the doubt on all of this...

I'm going to assume...
...that your bad grammar is due to English not being your primary language
...your eagerness to do this is because you feel you've got enough time & money to accomplish it
...your lack of rotary knowledge isn't as bad as it seems
...you realize the amount of customization involved, and know good fabricators who are willing to help you.

Given all that, here's my advice to you:
- Give up looking for a 4 rotor engine. You're not going to find one. Even if you somehow do, it's going to be ungodly expensive, and there are probably only 10 mechanics on the planet that can help you with the install & tune.
- Find an empty 8 frame and start from there. A 4 rotor will never fit in the engine bay as-is. Your best bet would be to start from the ground up. Make good friends with an engineer because lots of carving will be involved, and you do NOT want to lose structural integrity with that much power.
- Research the Susuki Escudo. Somehow they mounted twin V6 turbocharged motors - one in front, one in back - to build a "V12 TT" rally car. 4rotors have never been done on street cars before, so a twin-Renisis setup might be the cheapest option. I recommend the Escudo method because you've got 2 seats and a decent trunk in the RX8 that could easily house another 13b. Trying to line up 2 motors in the front of the car would be nearly impossible, as well as SEVERELY throw off the weight balance of the car. Placing a second motor midship would comprimise handling less than any other method.

...and if you are just a kid with outrageous hopes and dreams, face the facts and realize that faith is going to accomplish nothing here.

Was going to mention that someone like you or RG might know more about it but didnt wanna say it without being sure... guess I was right.

Anyways, if he has the money and time to put into this, then it'll be a very interesting process. Even if he doesnt have a place in mind to do the work, there are members here with plenty of knowledge to help. I dont know about you guys, but if he's serious about this, I'd really like to see this happen (out of interest mind you, not doubt).

btw zoom44, just for general knowledge on the forum... how much would you be looking to spend to buy one of those 4 rotor engines? Not that most of us could afford it, but just so we know...

I can't for the life of me figure out how being deaf would cause someone to have bad grammar, but ok.

You still haven't answered the question. Do you have over 100k to put into this build?

There are no signs for smaller, extremely common words. If 90% of the time he's communicating with other people he's able to leave certain words out and ignore the standard rules of grammar, when he starts typing, he'll type things out the same way he's used to "saying" them.

Even if he's got the money, the means, and the engine, the 8 just isn't the chassis for this project.

May as well just weld a JATO bottle to the top of a car...and we all know how that one turned out...

Not sure that I agree you couldn't modify the 8 to hold it.

Interesting... If the OP actually pulls this off, he will have a truly unique car...

Please do document your progress if you decide to move ahead with this...

I'm no expert by any means, in fact I'm barely able to change my own oil, but 100K for a 4rotor swap????? give me a break, just because the guy wants a 4rotor engine doesn't mean he HAS to get one of the few mazda built for the 787B. Can he just put 2 13b together like many other people have done????
Also I don't see why it wouldn't fit??? does any1 has any measurements on the 26b??? According to HurleyRotary out of the UK a 20b(or adding a 3rd rotor to a 13b) only adds less than 5in to the total length of the engine so wouldn't a 4th rotor add another 5in or 10in total(from 13b to 26b)?????
There's a few places around the world that would make you a 26b, and I can assure you none of the will ask you for 100k, I'm not saying putting a 26b on an 8 is cheap, but I really don't think it'll run all the way to 100k, I'll say 50k, 60k tops.
Like I said, I'm no expert but by reading some of the answers it sounds like it's impossible in every way imaginable.

By the way here's the link to hurleyrotary, look all the way at the bottom, they offer a six rotor engine, that's right SIX ROTOR:
http://www.hurleyrotary.com/page.php...ntpageref=6265

Also check this one from scoot sports from japan:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBZL-GGbA4s

Also Mazsport.com out of Australia does some crazy stuff, like a 4rotor on a BMW
http://www.mazsport.com/
http://www.mazdarotary.net/queenstbmw.htm

One more out of Orlando, FL

in Japan, people have done a 4 rotor swap by putting 2 13B-REWs together, but they couldn't fit that into a convetional car, they did put it in an FD, bmw 335i etc etc though, plenty of vids on you tube

Khronus, we are being dead serious, get 100k+ or its not going to happen, I'm serious, because 50-60k will get you in a gigantic and fiery crash because your car will suck after that, might not even be able to go straight in a line, everything will be fucked up, you will have to strip everything, reinforce the chassis with streel braided cages and roll bars, every ******* thing, go wide body to support the weight........omfg, the list goes on and on, can't you just go buy a lambo? god
