Stage III chip (do they really work?)

I just got an RX-8 two months ago and I was looking online and I found a couple "stage III chips" that you splice between the wires of your MAF and ECU that is supposed to give you an extra 15hp. Does anyone have these or know of anyone who has these and are they safe?

i HIGHLY doubt that it would work. you are better off adding stickers to get that extra 15hp.

Yeah... What he said. If you want, I have some Tein stickers I can send you. They should add around 5hp each.

Seriously though, waste of money. Go for a light flywheel.

RadioShack sells the Stage III chip for 2-3 bucks.

Check out the electric superchargers also. Crack open a Shark vaccuum and stick that fan motor in your intake. It's +20HP at WOT.

In my opinion the best mods you can find that actually work will be on this forum. There are plenty of RX-8 owners wanting more power who do extensive reasearch and get products that work. So if it's not talked about on the forum it doesn't work.
