Spec Change Request

I submitted a "spec change request" with my dealer last week. I had originally ordered black leather but decided to go with the red trim. I did this with the condition that it would not delay the delivery of the vehicle. I know there were some comments here last month regarding changes having to be submitted by some date in January. I hope my dealer was correct that it will not cause a delay. I couldn't imagine a small change like that delaying delivery of a vehicle that hasn't even gone into production yet. Anyway.. fingers crossed.

I just added Navigation yesterday. I was given a new confirmation number. The dealer asures me that navigation will be available on the second batch of cars (July) which I was already in. I told him I did not want the option if it would delay my car at all.

I need a new car now! I am quickly approaching 300k miles on my Vigor and can hear the wheel bearings, CV joints and transmission all starting to wear out. If my car doesn't hold out, I'll just buy a small junker pick-up truck. I'll need one anyway for trips to Home Depot. I am not going to transport landscaping materials in my 8.

I was in the first batch of vehicles. I also expressed that I would live with black leather if it would delay the vehicle delivery. Hopefully they made sure.

I wasn't aware that it would change the vehicle confirmation number though. Maybe I need to check and see if my number changed.

Only the last digit of the confirmation number changed. It went from a "1" to a "6."

Go figure?
