IL So whats the best time

So here on the forums who came up with the best 0-60 times for the rx8? Or just what is it? Btw how much of a difference does a k and n air filter make on a stock rx8?

K&N won't make much of a difference. Some members LOST hp with the Version 1 K&N.
Intakes have little hp effect on our cars as the stock air box is well designed.

As for 0-60.

5.75 seconds 0-60mph... perfect wheelspin on new asphalt with a 7,500 RPM launch feathering the clutch and perfect 1-2 shift, completely stock 2004 RX8
measured by this thing

Could have been a one time anomaly, but that's what it said.

I used to be able to run 6.1 to 6.3 second consistently, but only broke 6 seconds twice.

A K&N drop in won't make any measurable difference in 0-60, and if your butt dyno tells you any different, it's lyng to you.

Well the best drag time is from JudgeIto with a stock rx-8, who got a 14.33 seconds quarter mile. Also the best 0-62mph is probably from Aespo22, who did a 5.2 seconds 0-62. Also his car is still N/A.

I can't believe that 5.2 0-62 and still N/A. No way. It doesn't work out. Typically a 5.2 0-60 would land you about a 13.7-13.8 at 102-103 in the quarter. No way an NA RX8 will get those kind of numbers.

Oh, and how did Aespo22 measure it? I looked it up. He did by measuring it from a "video". WHAT? VIDEO? Come on. Ridiculous. But, ooooo, it was HD.

(Oh and I just want to believe I have the fastest informally recorded NA 0-60 of all time)

Go search for it on Streetfire. But I will admit that it is noticeable when you can screetch the **** out of 3rd gear with 245's.

I know you are jealous of his car! But seriously, that's pretty damn fast, if he only he tracked the car, I would've thought he could break the 14 second barrier being N/A.

I did watch his video on streetfire. It's ridiculous to measure it that way. It's beyond ridiculous... it's stupid. Go buy a $200 accelerometer and prove it. Hell just get an iPhone and the Dynolicious app for $12.99, but stopwatch and video based crap like that? No. Might as well have your brother in law in the car with his timex wristwatch going "dude! you just did 0-60 in 4 seconds!"

Woulda, coulda, shoulda... nobody has proven yet that an NA RX8 can break into the 13's, and there's no way that RX8 could run a 0-60 in 5.2 seconds without FI or nitrous.
Ask kersh4w how hard it is to get there. He's been working on it. To compare using another lightweight, high reving, low torque sports car, consider the S2000. It does 0-60 in 5.4-5.5 and runs 13.9 @ 100mph in the quarter. Every tenth of decrease in 0-60 translates to a couple of tenths in the quarter.

I hereby nullify his results, and claim the worlds fastest NA RX8 measured 0-60.
