Just bought one.

I am relatively new to these forums, although I have been a lurker for a while. However I am a new owner of an awesome 04, sunlight silver, grand touring RX-8. It has 60k miles on it and I am the second owner. The car appears to have been well taken care and it drives like a champ. This is my second rotary my first being an 87 RX-7, and also my second car. I just got excited and felt like posting this information online.

The sunlight silver curse, well not really, it's just that many people who have the silver colour with this car have bad luck in different ways. I don't want to say them because I'm too lazy and I don't want them happening to me.

Lately many VR's rx-8's are starting to get problems

My '05 is meticulous, flawless and Sunlight Silver.

Silver paint has a better drag coefficient, thus Sunlight Silver 8s are 2.2746% faster than the next fastest 8 color.

Congrats.

I'm getting a VR 09! Don't want any curse whatsoever... what problems have you heard on the VRs? Only one I read on this forum was gearbox issue.

Well sorry about late pics, but here are a couple. Not really a photographer but they get the point across, I would say.

Beautiful car - congratulations. I would ditch the sunroof wind deflector though, as it sort of ruins the lines of the car - IMHO.

:-)
