Silly Mazda Customer Service

So, I sent Mazda USA customer service and email about the spring rates on the MS Springs just to see what they would say. Here is how the email thread went

Me:I am unable to find out what the spring rates are anywhere on your site. Is it possible to get those rates?

Them:"Thanks for contacting Mazda.

Genuine Mazda Parts and Accessories can be purchased from your local authorized Mazda dealership. Keep in mind, pricing will vary from dealer to dealer, as each Mazda dealership is an independently owned and operated business. As for more information on parts, I’m afraid that what ever information is on the website is what’s meant for the public to know.

To locate your closest Mazda dealership, please visit our website at www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/loadDealerSearch.action.

Again, thank you for contacting Mazda. "

ME:This had nothing to do with my question.....
What are the spring rate for the Mazdaspeed springs for an RX-8.
Thanks you.

Them:As for more information on parts, I’m afraid that what ever information is on the website is what’s meant for the public to know.

ME:So you sell performance parts with little to no useful information for the consumer? wow.....
I find that very hard believe. Someone must have that information as why would you sell such things without performance testing and evaluations that would help consumers choose your performance parts over after market competitors.

Them:As silly as that sounds, that's correct.

I mean...wow

That's just silly.
I think I've seen MS spring rates on the forum. Think they were in the "Look lowering springs" or
"springs springs springs" threads. But i might be wrong

Spring rates of OEM and aftermarket springs can be found in "springs springs springs" thread. No need to waste time calling Mazda

I KNOW they can be found here, but there is always debate on the rates. I wanted to know if Mazda themselves would give out the numbers....

I am not wasting time calling... Email takes a second.

I'm not sure, but doesn't Mazdaspeed themselves have a support team?

http://www.mazdaspeeddevelopment.com/contactus.htm

It's through MNAO, but I'm betting it's a separate department.

I think someone said this above but, why couldn't they direct me in the right direction even...I'll forward my email to some email on that motorsports page.

I'm betting most people in MNAO doesn't know of the MS Motorsports division. To them, they only deal with retail parts of it (selling, warranty, repairs).
