Another point of view on putting the front plate on: If you don't have it, it gives any cop an easy excuse to pull you over and nab you on ANYthing else....

i guess thats bad if you have a record.

i'd assume most of us dont have any reason to fear the police.

go look at your front grille. the area that the plate is on is closed off anyway. the effects of it being there are negligible. the front grille only opens where the RB duct is designed to fit. unless you drilled it out or something.

The only record I have is 2 speeding tickets a while back. I fear the cops, because I'm always afraid they will pull me over and try to make something up.

I don't have a reason to fear them, but it's a hassle getting pulled over for your plate and then having the officer poke around for other things too.

I know that some officers pull over modified sports cars for no plate and then start looking for other problems (including checking tire depth and headlight height).

thats fine, let them check. my tires are fine and so are my headlights.

the police may be a hassle, and most can be absolute douche bags when they are on patrol, but there is really no reason to fear them unless you are breaking the law.
