flat spot in the rev's

hi i'm a new member... i have a a 2004 rx8 231bhp very happy with it but i find it hard to start some times and also there is a flat spot in the lower rev's can any1 help thanks.......................

ummm,,,,,could be alot of things,,, search is your friend Oil discussions come to mind, theres alot of stuff on here and alot of people with simular problems,, the sticky's in the Tech Garage is your best bet...

Take it to a dealer, they can re-flash the computer to cure some of these problems - it should be free.

rough start could be the starter is weak. or your losing compression and your motor is going bye bye*that was my car and had motor replaced* flat spot bould be spark plugs or bad coils or clogged cat, or even again low compression which equals you needing a new motor again

when to the dealer said it was air flow meter cost €550 still the same .............now checkin the plugs and leads
