Angry Scraped for the 3rd time.

Today some ahole in a Lexus rx300 scraped my rear bumper trying to go out of a curb side parking. The fu..ed up part is that they had about 5 feet free in front of their car and about 4 feet to mine so they had no need to backup. they reversed without looking and ended up hurting my baby. I will post pictures tomorow.

anyway the damage isn't that bad. I think that with some polishing and a little touchup paint it will be new. I need advise on how to aply the touchup paint though. Any body out there done this before. (I know, I know SEARCH,) I will I just wanted to let you know.

The other two times I am refering to in the 3rd time where:

Last year (the car was 2 mo. old some dork baked into me very hadr ended up damaging the rear bumper and the right quarter pannel but it was fixed perfect.

a couple of weeks ago a coworker of mine scraped the same quaretr panell on the parking lot at our office but it was only the panit and it was re-painted to new condition.

on this last case I didn't get the licence plate on the lexus so there is no inshurance to claim exept my own and I dont think it will get over my $500 deductible so I might as well DIY.

This is why I park way the hell away from everyone. I'd rather walk a little further and spare myself the frustration of some dumbass scraping my car. Of course, in a lot of big cities, this isn't really an option.

Bad luck mate, goes to show even though they can afford a Lexus, they should have spent the money on a Toyota and the rest on learning how to drive.

heh heh ... let me guess ..you have a Silver 8. Those things are cursed ... they're the ones we see in the accidents and get bumped around!

There's a sticky on the Show and Shine area of the forum on how to fix rock chips. I think that it's applicable to scrapes (as long as it's not too deep). Here's the link

The way you told your story, it seems like you saw the other vehicle back up into you. Couldn't track him down? If it was a hit and run and he's caught, he could be taught a nice lesson.

Sorry, velocity red

I didn't see him backup I just know that a silver lexus was parked behind me and when I went to my car it wasn't there, It's space was empty, noone else that I noticed had moved thir cars and the scrapes where silver on my red baby.

I know, I know it's all circumstancial but I'm pissed. If I see tha tlexus around that street again and it has red paint on it's bumper I think I will scrath a big fat RX8 on the door just to make him remember me (just kidding I'm not the kind of guy that goes around vandalizing property). But it would be a nice revenge!

I mean if you damage somebody else's property and you have inshurance (it is fu**ing mandatory here in PR) why wouldn't you leave a note. It wont cost you a friking dime!!!

Sorry for the mishap, I wish everyone had respect for their cars like we do. I park in a garage everyday and drive around until I can find an end space. Dent Wizard is my friend, have called them three times since owned to get out door dings.

Just one of my quirks: Can't stand door dings, have to fix asap. Sore point with wife.
