I was in an accident 3 weeks after getting my 8, and they towed it with front up, because a front tire was blown. I think the body shop fix everything from the wreck, and the towing.

I'm fine. My back is a little sore. I have some cuts from the glass spraying at me, but really minor. My ear did get a tiny cut, but it bled like crazy which freaked out the paramedics. They wanted me to go to the hospital but I didnt want to leave my car.

I think I will take some pics of the interior when I go to the collision center. Surprisingly, the interior passenger side of the car is not caved in.

The best thing is to get it towed on a flatbed.

On the other hand, the damage looks bad but in case you don't have frame damage, they'll be able to repair it and get it back to it's previous state perfectly - provided you get it done in a very good body shop.

The 8 is pretty tough.
That's what I was about to say. The guy towing the car must think it is front wheel drive. Good thing we don't have b-pillars cause it would definately have frame damage. Looking at the pics you got a few hours of repair time on the rocker panel.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to add in.

Curse of the Silver.

Good luck with the repairs, and stick it to the towing company. Freakin' idiots.

Technically it does. The 8 has a steel tubular frame in parts of both doors. When the doors close they lock together and form a solid barrier. That's pretty much what kept the OP's injuries to a minimum (other than the impact being on the passenger side).

Regardless I'm glad the OP's ok. Shame about the car though...

Not saying you're wrong, because who knows what type of guy he may be if it is.

Just saying that everyone keeps calling him/her a guy but the Name/Title makes me think otherwise =O

Might be a guy though?

Although not noticing the other side of traffic had a greenlight makes me really think it is a girl!

Now starting my new club.

GAWD

Guys
Against
Women
Drivers

My first car which I loved, was totaled due to 2 differet women drivers, and my 2nd was in an accident with one. (none of them my fault)

Why can't they just stay in the kitchen where they belong

Last comment was a joke btw, but I really am going to make a club named that someday.

Yeah... i'm a girl, with all the parts that go along with being a girl. I want to be a dental hygienist, thus the username toothfairy.

I knew it!

Thats pretty cool, I had a friend that's doing that. But she dropped out of school and became a stripper.

She's pretty crazy, people often wonder why I don't talk to her anymore

Good luck with the car, and good luck with school too!

Here are a few more pictures of the accident scene, including one of the van in case you all were wondering what their damage looks like. I dont know if it was really an ASTROVAN, but I consider any minivan with a 45 degree slant in the front to be one.

Yes me too. I will NOT be taking my car to Tustin Mazda!! However, across from Tustin Mazda in the same auto center, there is a collision center. My family has past experience there. By the way, the guy that works there FIRED Jimmy, but Jimmy was hired back as the guy's boss and fired him from Tustin Mazda. Weird stuff. How's your car doing?

I thought it was funny too.. It's weird that people would think a guy would have the username 'fairy' and 'girls have sticks too'... but then again, I know a few "fairies" that are guys =P

Wait - so you're tellin' me Jimmy's still there!? GADDAMN IT!

anyways - That collision center is where my 8 is too!! haha...i talked to Crystal there - she seems real cool and keeps me posted. -and as far as my repairs; it started late last week. My ins company originally stated they were gonna hold off but the people who were sent to inspect it basically said 'there's no way in hell this could've been your fault' haha! so yeah, evidently things are going pretty well and should be back in my 8 by the beginning of september - hopefully!
