FL RX8 for sale needs new motor REPAIRED, UPDATE.

So i just found out that my RX8 needs a new motor and im a college kid whos poor and i dont have the money to fix it. I need to get rid of the car....i just put brand new spark plugs/wires/coils/crank shaft position sensor/and over flow tank for the radiator... other then the motor the cars in pretty good condition...the front and back bumper could prob use a new paint job, the guy who had it before me didnt take as good of care as i would have liked so it has its little opps...and prob the worst thing about the car is the miles are pretty high. but before the motor went it ran like a champ its got an awesome ac(no heat, i rerouted the heating stuff because a line leaked) i love the sterio, i think it sounds great.. the seats are really comfy the driver seat is a little more worn then the rest, the back seat has only been sat in maybe 10 times lol...The cars black with nice black tent on the windows. brand new tag light.

but like i said the car has its spots that need a little TLC that i just cant give it... i cant afford the car...

soooo hopefully someone wants to help me out and take this car off my hands. and give me a price....

Hopefully you do know that the warranty on the motor is 8yr 100k warranty from the original purchase date right?
Who said you need a new motor?
Did they run a compression check?
How many miles on your car.......I forget if you ever mentioned that in another thread?

I can have some pics up today Ill have to go out and take some new ones because all i have is when i sea foamed it even though that was super cool..and as far as the price im not really sure what i should be getting for it so if you guys could give me an honest price on what you guys would sale it for that would be awesome. but like i said i will have some pics up by the end of the night.

also its a 2004.

the guy who had it before me said that he used it mostly on high way. I mean i use it on high way a lot because i travel between Melb and Orlando a few times a week and dont get me wrong i like to go fast but i know when enough is a enough...and i dont think he had a lot of money because ive had to replace pretty much everything...:/

Edit your original post to include these things
- Pics
- Auto or manual (conditon of the transmission also)
- Title status lein/ in hand/clean/salvage etc
- Miles on the car
- Accidents
- Parts replaced
- Interior/exterior condition
- Symptoms of your blown engine as in what happened
- Pictures say a thousand words
- Price
As for price from what i see 04 6sp rx8s with typical mileage now go for 9-12k. I would say your car values between 4-6k with a clean title blown engine and high mileage.

- Pics- will be up tomorrow ( Saturday Aug 3,2009)

- Auto (and i believe the transmission is in good condition.)

- Title- in hand

- roughly 155K miles

- Accidents- none since its been mine, according to the other guy none either besides hitting a shopping cart.

- Parts replaced- Coils/ Spark Plugs/ Wires/ Crank Shaft Posision Sensor.

- Interior/exterior condition- Interior-Great, Drivers seat is a little worn from getting in and out but other then that mint condition,Exterior- front and back bumpers could use a paint job the guy before me said he hit a "shopping cart" other then that no dents or scratches...But again pics will be up tomorrow ( Saturday Aug 3, 2009)

- Symptoms of your blown engine as in what happened- Changed plugs and wires, drove it about 200-400 miles and let it set in the driveway for a day while i went to gainesville came home went to start it, wouldnt start...

- Price- i want to try and get some where close to 5 for it...

*****Theres a veryyyy high chance that i am just going to pay to have a new motor put in it. If i do so i still want to sale it but for some where around 7ish...Its a car i cant keep up with. i love it sooo much but i just cant afford it let alone keep up with it...

********* again pictures SHOULD be up tomorrow(saturday Aug 3, 2009) i was too busy today trying to find a new motor or someone to rebuild mine to get to take any of the pictures, so they should be up tomorrow...

any more questions let me know...

Thanks

you can get a nice reman/rebuilt motor from mazmart, maybe for as low as ~4k. they're in georgia so you won't have to pay too much for shipping either. that might be a way to go if you'd keep the car

Why would a poor college kid buy a RX-8 with over 100k on it? That was dumb. You replaced the crankshaft position sensor? Did you do the piston rings while you were at it? hahahaha.

Perhaps you could work on your sales skills, as well. Nothing about your post made me even remotely interested.. as a matter of fact, you actively disinterested me.

haha... jackhole...

we "have" one... At least it's the same OBII code that trips as the CPS, so if you look up the code on a generic OBII code list, it'll say CPS.

An average person isn't going to know the difference between a Crankshaft Position Sensor and an Eccentric Shaft Position Sensor, since they are for all practical purposes, performing the same function, just different engine designs...

Big freaking deal; so he didn't know the difference, but maybe you didn't know the code is the same thing, anyhoo...

By all means, feel free to try to humiliate another poster for no damn good reason, though. You're obviously e-thuggie' enough to pull it off.

Thats excatly why a college kid would buy a 100k miles on it. They can either only afford a cool looking car with 100k on it and also 100k isn't much to a college kid when they are use to beat up they had in highschool. At least the good thing is he boguth a a rx8 with 100k in it rather than a sation wagon with 100k.

Chillout, I'm just bustin' his *****!!!!!!!! Buying an RX8 with 100k on the odometer is not smart unless you have the cash to support it. When you are that age, you buy a reliable cheap car, Period. Good luck with the sale.

if you dont like what my post says then dont even reply there was no need for that.... i wanted the car its not my fault my dad left and took all my college money and money i had for a car...thats why i cant afford it anymore...and umm yes the crank shaft pistion senor is the same code so thanks for making me feel like ****... im not going to school to sell cars so there for i dont need to work on my skills so you can just shove it i dont want you buying my car anyways... i can find someone who has respect for someone to buy my car... try "busting my *****" all you want...but i dont have any im a GIRL... ive never had a car ive always had trucks and none of them were ever junk they where always lifted and bad *** ive always had the nicest of things so bust my ***** all you want and try to act like you know me and know why i bought a car with high miles what ever do what you gotta do im just trying to get this car sold not to have someone put me down because i dont have the money any more or because in high school you think i drove peices of ****...big surprise that a guy would make a girl feel like crap because she doesnt know how all the codes for cars or that i got a car with high miles, you dont have to really worry about trucks till they have like 200K so umm from a girl who has always hard trucks i didnt think i needed to worry...so seriously get off my *** about it....
