warming up before, after?

Ok I am not from U.S ( just studying here) As a current student I am in the learning process heeh soo I would have to ask you a question , becase I do not understand something.

As I understand I should warm up the car before i start driving.I Understand that, but I do not Understand sentance :
"As per warming, its more so, I think, in before shutting down than before driving"

My question is: How can I warm up the car before shutting down the car?
Its already warm ,so why I would have to wait to shut the car down?

Thank you for all oh the answears.

Get a good coat of polish on your car early and it will help protect the finish.
I hope you mean wax. Wash, Polish, Wax. A polish removes a thin layer of the clear coat to help your shine, but without wax your finish is unprotected.

If you drive it for more than a few minutes, it's warm and you just shut it off like an ordinary car. If you start it just to move it a short distance - like pulling out of your garage to wash it - then you have to let it run until it warms up.

For the car wash thing, a lot of us will pull the car out of the garage and let it idle while we gather the hose, soap, sponge, Q-tips, KY jelly, etc.

If you start it and have to turn it off before it's warm, then you rev to 3000 rpm before shutting it off. But if it's already run for 5 minutes, it's warm so you don't have to do anything special.

Blow drying is a great way to get all the water out of every crack and crevis.
