RP supercat installed, but its too loud!

i have had the RP supercat installed, with the Greddy SP2 catback. it is really loud, i was thinking, if i add a resonator on to it, will it be a lot quieter or not?
also, about how much hp does the RP supercat really gain? if i put a resonator, will i lose that power that i gain from the supercat?
any advise?
i am so ready to put my stock mid pipe on already!!

I have the RP supercat installed with a reasonator by RP as well. I am using a Knightsports muffler which is actually quite a quiet muffler. I can say that the reasonator does not help very much. At low rpms, is not too loud. At high throttle and high rpms...it is extremely loud.

I've been running with the B&B midpipe and I can speak to the loud exhaust. Nobody wants to ride behind me when we do drives. Still, it's an easy 8 or 9 hp to pick up.

They aren't suppose to make you lose any HP but even if they do it couldn't be more then 2-3hp.

it actually sounds great with a RB exhaust. The RB exhaust is naturally quiet so it livens things up. But i can imagine how loud it can be on your car..probably 103 DB HAHA

best way to make a loud midpipe less so, is install a turbo

say goodbye to single digit gains, and hello to triple digits.

I didn't feel any gains with a straight pipe. And that is going to give slightly better gains than a supercat...

my butt isn't that good for testing. so i dunno if i felt a difference. but it sure sounded different and better than with the rb exhaust alone.

I had both the SR Motorsports hi-flow cat unit (that had the resonator option) & the RP Supercat later put on. At the time I had the RB exhaust, and with the SR unit it was pretty good. With the RP unit it definitely got louder. Now I have RP Supercat with the JIC Titanium and it is a bit louder than I would like (and I have a turbo on my car). Hate to tell you, but the Greddy exhaust by itself is already loud, anything else you put will just make it more so.

After install, it sounded horrible. Raspy and cheap like a civic. But after awhile it sounded better. Throaty and deep. At least that is at up to 3.5k rpm and light throttle. At wot, it sounds like a JGTC(japan grand touring championship) car.
