You can afford the gas right? Take the 8 and make your friends pay for fillups.

if the civic might break down, take the 8. its not worth risking a break down and messing up your plans.

Leave it at home?

Bought my 2008 Grand Touring in Minnesota, drove it to Northern Virginia the next day. Great fun. The only problem was keeping it legal when the roads started curving. Dang this thing is fun.

Just found this site, by the way. Thanks to everyone for the great information. Hard to tell after just 30 days, but I think this might be the best car I've ever owned. I kind of forgot that I'm allowed to drive a car I actually like. Thank God the Honda dealer tried to screw me on the Accord M/T I was trying to buy...

Man, the 8 is an excellent road trip car. I just drove for 1000 km like a maniac this last weekend, averaged 21.44 MPG over the trip, and that included some stints over 200 km/hr in the Fraser Canyon in beautiful British Columbia.

As long as there's enough room for your stuff, giver. Bring some extra gas with you just in case, and make sure you know how to fix a flat just in case.
