Wasn't 280hp the "voluntary" hp limit in Japan when the Evolv was released? I always figured that's why the concept was listed at that power level.

close. it was 280ps (276hp).
and i have to amend my statement from earlier to remove any confusion...
the RX-EVOLV is the prototype that was claimed to have 280hp and isn't available anywhere. In some markets (UK for instance), there is an RX-8 Evolve (notice the different spelling), but it is just the "shinka" that is available here in the states, but the color choices are different...availble in copper red and phantom blue.

Ooh... a Supra... I have not seen one of those on the road in several years now. I always thought each generation of that car was really nice looking. Did anyone here ever drive one if so how did it handle?
