I dont even own an 8 and driving all my friends I can tell what speed im going just by glancing at the tach and knowing what gear im in. At least in 6th gear.. i got that one figured out down to a science.

Mazda did the digital because they wanted to make us all feel good when we pass the state trooper and just know that the 78 on the digital is good enough for a $100 ticket and 2 points.

Thank God the trooper was sleeping
