Its a Torsen stands for Torque Sensing, no need special LSD fluid with additives if you are thinking of changing

i actually dont have an 8 yet... im picking up a used one next week after the owners get a few things fixed and new tires put on. just wanted to make sure that its got an LSD cuz they didnt know. thanks for the help guys!

torsen = torque sensing
Torsen (or TorSen) = a specifictype of torque sensing LSD patented by the Torsen corporation.

I believe that the LSD in the RX-8 is a Tochigi Fuji torque sensing model.
