Question about re-installing stock intake

Hey guys a friend of mine has the aem intake in his 8, but his MAF sensor keeps on failing, the dealer says that its most likely because of the intake. I'm trying to help him re-install the stock intake, before he goes back into the dealer. is there anything I need to know when i re-install? also i tried to look it up in the DIY and couldn't find anything. Thanks guys.

If you have all the parts it's very straight forward.

Look around for the 04 service manual pages...or PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a PDF of that area

Typical Dealership bullshit.

and your friend actually believed him ?

Check and make sure the AEM was installed correctly.

^^^ yeah, dealer B.S.
Dealership recently made a forum member remove his Revi intake because they claimed it damaged the throttle body. WTF?!

Those guys will say ANYTHING to deny warranty work.
Double check the installation, try another dealership, worst case scenario is to reinstall the OEM and go back.

ha ha Racing Beat does R& D work for Mazda so no way their parts will cause a failure like the TB.

no no no no ! Because the intake allows more than usual air into the engine, the extra air actually damaged the throttle body cuz there is simply too much extra airflow !!!!!

Seriously, does dealerships even know who Racing Beat is ? they probably never even seen what a Rotary engine inside looks like !

does the dealership know the difference between an aem intake and a mazdaspeed intake?

i suggest you buy some mazdaspeed stickers off ebay and tack them on. they are the same intake. then get them to do warranty work on your friends intake.
