LOL!! I did the same thing. The first 8 I test drove, I could not get it into reverse. I felt likea complete idiot. Luckily for me the salesperson knew something about the car or we would have been stuck.

My wife STILL can't get the thing into reverse after a year and a half. Don't feel bad.

Reverse issue RX8

I have my RX 8 for 5 years and 2 months ago it started sticking - will NOT go inot reverse.... HELP.

Good laugh

The day I got my rx8, I couldn't figure out how to get it into reverse either. We were parked at long john silvers and kept getting it into 6th gear. Eventually we got out and pushed it backwards until we could take off. It wasn't until I got home, my dad drove it and told me to push down on the shift ****. Felt pretty dumb afterwards.
