50-50 isn't really the best balance for a car anyways, I don't know why all magazines claims so. I suppose that number sounds the best but I believe it's better to have a slightly greater rear wheel weight bias like 40/60 or 45/55. But anyways, there's so much misinformation out there that everyone's confused.

For 0-60 times, a heavy rear bias is an advantage, but it can make the car quite tail happy - so on twisties you want the 50/50 if you can get it. See the Porsche 911 for an example :D

Yeah, I've been trying to find a car for some time and have now decided on either of these. I just don't want anyone on my site to know yet. They are driving me nuts. I'll hit him up to try and grab some info. Thanks again.

Yeah, it might turn out like the whole Morgan issue(RX8 club lounge issue):
bye bye rx8...hello torque!

Don't read it Livevil, it's pretty boring and she ended up keeping her 8. lol

Edit: for the love of God, please don't resurrect that thread anyone :D

I'l have to give it a once over just for knowledge sake. I'm rather used to not having much torque driving the Audi. They are heavy cars that take much $$$ to get fast. Quattro is nice to have but of course steals some power right there.

LIVEVIL, I'd be interested in hearing what you think about the noise level compared to the others. My 8 seems remarkably quiet for this class of car. Sometimes I'm just hearing the tires.

If you want a car that is truely unique, get the 8. I would suggest you check out the "the little things" thread in this forum.
