As topic Im having poor starting problems with my recently purchased RX8 and the fuel economy is through the roof surly 72 miles urban driving ( motorway)
to £15 worth of fuel does not work out to 27mpg ?
Plus im having a poor starting fault hot or cold long crank and will mainly only start full throttle
Any help much appreciated

Have you checked your average fuel mileage over several tankfulls? If so, what is your miles per gallon over how many miles. English pounds and the cost of fuel in GB don't mean a thing to most people on this forum. Having said that, you should expect to get no more than about 20-21 mpg over time driving mainly on open roads. City, stop-and-go traffic, and lots of idling will absolutely kill your fuel mileage and you can expect about 5 mpg less with mixed city-highway driving. (We're talking miles not kilometers here, right?)

what year is your rx8? If it's 2004-2005 you might need the "Engine Crank - No Start" TSB if your having issues with starting the car.

Search for that on this forum and you'll find plenty of literature.
