plz help me wid this problem i am having with my rx8

Hi guys,
I own a japanese 2003 rx8 in pakistan...it is a type s....now the problem am having so far which is concerning me is that whenever i accelerate hard in 2nd gear especially and a little in 3rd gear i hear a crackling sound from the car....this usually occurs when my rpm goes above 5000....plz help me diagnose the problem and do tell me the cure too plz...i would be highly grateful.

where is the sound originating from? (engine, under hood, transmission, exhaust ???? )

any modifications to the vehicle?
how many miles?

hi....its coming from under the hood...dont know the exact location as it does not occur when i accelerate to 5000 rpm in neutral gear...only when i accelerate in 2nd and 3rd gear....do u know what it myt b?

heyy.....can u please elaborate on the broken motor mount theory...??? and mechanics here refer to a part in the rx8 as `turbo` although mine has no mods in it...wat could it be???

Yes, it needs top quality fuel.

If it is detonation from carbon build-up inside, it could be cleaned out with a combustion chamber cleaner or Seafoam. Visit your local Yamaha dealer, they make a good one, or any dealer who sells two-stroke engines would have a can.

could be just air bubbles in the coolant rush thru the heater coil.
