This probably is a stupid suggestion, but back in the stoney old days of the 1980s or so, windshield nozzles were adjustable by putting a pin into the sprayer outlet and pointing the nozzle where you wanted it to go. Can't hurt to try.

I figure, they tried to fix it and they broke it. Time for them to replace it.

Update: they fixed it and it works perfectly again.

Yes.

I got the MSP16 and paid for it, only to have the dealership to return my money to me without my asking for it.

MSP16 is covered by Mazda.

MSP16 was a recall - not a TSB - and it applies to all RX8s with appropriate vins. Get to your dealer and have them flash it. If you go to mazdausa.com and have your VIN registered it will display what recalls have been applied to your vehicle. If you haven't had the previous recall you may want a compression check done to your engine as well.

And Mazda warranties your engine for 8 yrs/100k miles. The flash is for your engine management so even if this was just a TSB you would be able to get it done barring a warranty void due to excessive engine modifications.

Hi there Timeandhalf.

This is a real noodler, and I can't say that I have any idea than to look at the relays for this where they might be exposed to rain water.

However, if you want a real answer, then you would do much better to post this question under its own heading in the Tech Section of the forum. Someone there might be able to help you better. In this thread, the question is pretty buried. Just a suggestion and best of luck.

flasher? what flasher? emergency flashers? CEL flashing?

If it's a warning light on the dash that flashes then it might be traction control... guessing it isnt that simple though.

this might be a dumb question, but i havent takent my 04 in for the MSP16 flash yet (got all previous ones). My car runs fine (knock on wood) and havent had any problems with it. Should I still get this one done? Premixing seems to be working for me.. or should i just get the MSP16 and continue to premix?

I would get the MSP16 flash if I were you. I found it a tremendous benefit to the driveability of the car making it easier to start off, and it seems to have much better oil metering. I'd do it. You an continue to premix if you want.

I had one replaced a couple years ago and now have moisture in the other. I would think a new/better gasket would seal it.

I have printed it out to go buy the parts and do it myself since I am no longer under warranty. I had one lamp replaced a couple of years ago, and it is just starting to get moisture in it again. Looks to be a great update.

Thanks for bringing to our attention!!!! I really appreciate the info.

yes it will overwrite it.

you can have racing beat re-flash your pcm for 50% off what you paid the first time around.
