Talking New RX-8 owner, old X-7 owner

hey,the names john, new to the forum and just bought a rx-8. i had a rx-7 when i was 16/17 sold it and bought a Nissan but now im back with Mazda and just purchased a rx-8 now for the transformation into the after market world lol. i have been looking around alot and cant really find just one site to order from so i can save on shipping i have all the money i need for now(no im not bragging) lol but i want to get my basics all at once . also im trying to balance performance/style/sound while also being a good shopper (save money of course) so if anybody has any info or suggestions let me know

there are no power mod besides FI

get AccessPort from MazdaManiac

Perhaps invest in some konis shocks

get clear corners just because all the cool kids do it

worship rotary god

and give Kari kimchi

do you have he accessport? and what kind of chip is it, mainly tun or tweaking? and yea deff. going for some shocks an coils a low 8 is a good 8 !!! do you have any suggestions on exhaust or intake, i read somewhere on here about taking th to fin out and it gaining but im looking for style along with function ability

intake and exhaust do not provide any significant horse power gain

i just like to shoot my gun @ the range, not in military

access port i do not have, but wish i do, and i know that it will help especially if your car is running too rich. (saves mpg)

just ordered some TEIN coils and dampers also a Greddy sp2 exhaust. from what im hearing lot , adding a intake will just mess with my idle so im going to try the stock box tweak by taking the two plates out see how that helps.i think im going to keep my stock look for now,not to worried bout a body kit right now

sounds like you did do some serious research, which is great
you can find almost 99.99% of information by searching
search more, it will save you lots of money by always doing the right things

+1 to mod the stock intake box

Get some sway bars to compliment your tein setup. I'm very happy with my Racing Beat sways & endlinks. You will have a handling beast, oh and a good set of tires are needed.

Next, go for the accessport and a supercat or straight pipe for more pep. And, the AFE shifter and some good tranny fluid.

im interested in getting a "cat delete" pipe but not sure how it will throw my mapping off can anybody share any experiences with test pipes in place of cats and how they affects the proformance
