Sweet! A club I can belong to!

No flooding ever and with the BHR ignition system it's probably impossible to flood the car now. Believe me, I've tried.

I've never flooded. I've only had mine since this fall but I don't understand how someone could do it unless they just don't do thier research or atleast read the manual. I've got an '04 with 41,500 miles BTW.

I've had 2 RX8's.
Both of them I have intentionally turned the car off immediately after starting the car (<20f weather).. done this repeatedly.. never flooded.

2004 with 58K and 3 years ownership, never flooded. Almost always warmed her up before shut off. Only a few times I did not and still fine.

Count me in as well................05 M/T with only 25k miles, but never flooded............or even much of any issue at all.

I wanna keep the theme of this thread and not let it get off track, but I gotta say........I think a lot of the flooding issues are:
1.) Shutting off cold.....we all know that.
2.) Weak spark caused by not changing plugs often enough. You'll NEVER see me with over 10k on plugs.
3.) OEM Coils having just too many miles on them. I'm thinking not over 25k for the OEM's, although I haven't had them since about 12k or so.
These all then lead to unburnt fuel eventually getting ignited in the CAT which leads to clogged CATs, which then lust compounds the issue and is one cause of engine failure. That's just all my opinion.

07 here and never flooded. And yes, I've turned off the 8 after starting it up for like 2 mins numerous times, never experienced any flooding. I've had the car for 3 years, 21k miles.

My baby has never let me down. Where are you 8?!

We need a little sig icon!

Replaced 3 engines and 3 catalytic converters. Starter, plugs and battery due to hard starts (bad engine problem). But, never flooded.
