need help with clutch!
my clutch was burned and I bought myself a set of EXEDY clutch stage 1 set instead of paying 1500$ at the dealer to get an OEM clutch replacement.
so today I called the dealer and asked for a quote for installation.
they said 5 hours labor for 500$ish.......???!!!!
why is it gonna take 5 hours to replace the clutch??they said they need to take the borken parts out and put the new one back in.it says 5 hours in their manual.I was like........hell..yeah??
So anyone knows how long it really takes to replace the clutch??and do you think it's easy to replace it yourself??

well 5 hours does sound about right to me.....if you know what ur doin and have the right set of tools etc its not hard....remember they have to drop the whole transmission to do this which is not an easy task even for the most skilled 5 hours sounds about right if you or some of ur friends know how to do it it can be done but if you're not sure i would leave it to the professionals

forgot to add you could probably get a better deal at a transmission place or anywhere other than the dealer labor at a dealer is ALWAYS alot more than just a "garage" but still a good one..so i would say check around at some other places and see what prices you can get
