My new toy!!
Hello fellow RX-8 owners!
I'm happy to announce that a few days back I bought myself a 2004 6-speed manual with about 53k miles (85k km) on the clock. Being a Top Gear fan and cheking out this amazing forum I decided to go for it.
What an awesome car this is! Really puts a smile on my face, starting when I walk up to her and lasting till long after I parked her!!!
She needs a new clutch badly, but luckily there is a brilliant DIY thread on that!
Looking forward to many miles with a smile on the face!!!

Here she is! (sorry for the cellphone quality pic)
As far as mods go, first up will be a new clutch, I'm looking at an Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit and lightweight flywheel.
Later on maybe get rid of the cat and a decent chip tuning.
We'll see ;-)

Welcome to the addiction my friend.
I see that your city is surrounded by mountains. Do I smell miles and miles (or klms and klms) of twisties. Haha!!
Are the roads in good shape in that part of Southern Africa?

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
With only a handfull of RX-8s here in the country I think this was a good find!
The roads here are generally in good condition stretching over wide open spaces. The only things to look out for are some wild animals and traffic cops on the road ;-)

Just read the New Owners thread and a few stickies and you'll be more knowledgable than 95% of the newbs here
I think one reason for the warm welcome is your user name...allow me to elaborate...
It leads the imagination to believe that you could possibly be female and you will find out rather quickly that this is a forum full of leg humpers (myself included)
So if you are female, and let it be known, then you will likey get even more attention than you are currently receiving and the leghumping will commence...especially if there are pictures added and it's found that you are even remotely attractive
If you are not a female then...uhh...no homo bro
So without further ado I will man up and ask the question that has been weighing on everyone's mind...
Are you a hot chick???
