My new toy!!

Hello fellow RX-8 owners!

I'm happy to announce that a few days back I bought myself a 2004 6-speed manual with about 53k miles (85k km) on the clock. Being a Top Gear fan and cheking out this amazing forum I decided to go for it. :naughty:

What an awesome car this is! Really puts a smile on my face, starting when I walk up to her and lasting till long after I parked her!!!

She needs a new clutch badly, but luckily there is a brilliant DIY thread on that!

Looking forward to many miles with a smile on the face!!!

G.

Congrats! :bigok:
Any pics?
Any plans for mods?

Here she is! (sorry for the cellphone quality pic)

As far as mods go, first up will be a new clutch, I'm looking at an Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit and lightweight flywheel.

Later on maybe get rid of the cat and a decent chip tuning.

We'll see ;-)

slvrstreak 08-13-2012 07:44 AM

she's beautiful!
careful, the mod bug bites hard ;)

Slidin8 08-13-2012 01:39 PM

do not chip tune.

get a cobb accessport instead

we'd hate to see you make a thread titled "help my ecu blew up"

edit: welcome brah :)

Welcome to the addiction my friend.

I see that your city is surrounded by mountains. Do I smell miles and miles (or klms and klms) of twisties. Haha!!
Are the roads in good shape in that part of Southern Africa?

Mazurfer 08-13-2012 07:44 PM

Cool...welcome to the addiction.................Namibia, really......that's cool!
Looks like a nice place! Sorry, I didn't know it was the capital city.

Oh yeah.............no chip like was said above......won't work and might damage car.

brewster 08-13-2012 07:52 PM

it is a beauty, take care and congrats.

foxyRoXy8 08-14-2012 10:04 AM

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

With only a handfull of RX-8s here in the country I think this was a good find!

The roads here are generally in good condition stretching over wide open spaces. The only things to look out for are some wild animals and traffic cops on the road ;-)

slvrstreak 08-14-2012 11:16 AM

Just read the New Owners thread and a few stickies and you'll be more knowledgable than 95% of the newbs here

I think one reason for the warm welcome is your user name...allow me to elaborate...
It leads the imagination to believe that you could possibly be female and you will find out rather quickly that this is a forum full of leg humpers (myself included)
So if you are female, and let it be known, then you will likey get even more attention than you are currently receiving and the leghumping will commence...especially if there are pictures added and it's found that you are even remotely attractive

If you are not a female then...uhh...no homo bro

So without further ado I will man up and ask the question that has been weighing on everyone's mind...
Are you a hot chick???

foxyRoXy8 08-15-2012 10:54 AM

Uh... sorry to burst your bubble. I just call my car 'Roxy'... cos she's red... hot... and has some fine curves...

Geddit?

foxyRoXy8 08-15-2012 10:57 AM

(maybe i should put that in my signature... :naughty:)

DarkBrew 08-15-2012 11:26 AM

The last Foxy we had here was foxyrx8... female, very cute, sold her 8 and ran away from all the leg humpers...

ThatNewGuy 08-15-2012 11:26 AM

Bahahaha, nice car.
And the thread goes dead.

slvrstreak 08-15-2012 11:48 AM

no homo bro
congrats on the new ride lol
