My 54 rx8 is broken, help!!!

UK My 54 rx8 is broken, help!!!

I changed the battery today and now the revs drop off and the car cuts out! Any ideas?? Anything would be helpful...thanks.

My 54? If it's not the typical coils, plugs, wires, battery, etc. then you are likely losing compression. However, it could be as simple as a vacuum leak. More info would be needed.

Same thing happened to my car. Give the ecu time to adjust. Everything will be fine.

Duh, I'm an idiot. I didn't read that he replaced the battery that day. The stalling is typical, just go drive the car around so it can relearn the fuel trims and it will be fine.

54 is the year of the car incase that made any difference...it was running perfect befor i replaced the battery? Just wondered if removing the battery may have done something to the ecu?? All the traction control light flashed up for a while untill i took it for a spin, about 5 miles.....

54? That's the year? What calendar are you on? lol

But yes the battery must have been disconnected too long and it reset the ECU...not a big deal. Should clear up.

They don't use the same model designations. US, CA, EU, JP they are all different.
