Using Mobil 1 in a Mazda Rotary Engine

Ask Your Stickiest Question. . . Or ask us something you’ve always wanted to know about using our products. We’ll sort through all the submissions and present the best questions to our automotive experts. The questions, and their answers, will post right here on the site.

Question:
Using Mobil 1 in a Mazda Rotary Engine
I have a 2005 Mazda RX-8. This has a rotary engine, which injects oil into its intake path. Can I use Mobil 1 without risk of incomplete oil burn and or buildup?
-- Matt Hejnas, Central Valley, NY

Answer:
Mazda does not recommend the use of synthetic oils in its rotary engines. To help maintain your vehicle's warranty coverage, we suggest that you follow your car builder's engine oil recommendation.

I think Mr. Dummy sounds more profesional. At least it gives the reader a sence that the author knows what he is talking about.

Will using Pennzoil Platinum™ void any of the auto manufacturers’ warranties?
No. Pennzoil Platinum™ has been formulated with the requirements of the auto manufacturers in mind and so does not void any of their warranties. The only exception is that full synthetic motor oils should not be used in the Mazda Rotary engine which has unique and specific lubrication requirements. Back to Platinum questions.

They all claim Mazda says so. Hmm.. oh well, freedom of choice!

I think we need to start a separate thread about vegetable oil vs. olive oil.

Then all the new members will be really confused.

Look, Mazda *recommend everybody to perform every single work at a Mazda dealer, which one of you EVER listen ?

If you do, I have nothing more to say.

but if you dont and Im sure 100% of us dont, next time if you want to say something, please just shut up.

You have a life, loser.
Anyone that needs to lose their temper on a complete stranger that is merely copying and pasting off the internet has no right to dole out the term LOSER so loosely.
Again, I have not said which I use. I could kiss your rear end all night and sing the joys of any oil, and you'd still call me (and others) complete morons.
It does not matter, because regardless, you're a bitter miserable person.
Your reaction to my hour of fun proves it. Which is a shame.

Anyway, I'm not sure whose bashing who, but I didnt read anything hostile except what spews from the fingers of YOU.. the rest was in good clean fun and entertainment.

Perhaps you should practise what you preach, and get a life.

Im pretty sure u guys had tons of fun, but do I really cared about what you ppl think ? not like u guys cared anyway, all I did was defending my stuff and this is what Im getting.

If stating fact means hostilitiy, then yes Im very hostile against everybody.

Again and again, none of them has anything to back themselfs up, all I saw was *Name Here* company saids Mazda recommend/My friend saids/He saids/Oh someone saids.

My *scientific* facts are sitting right here waiting to be broken.

Thank you come again.

P.S : Oh yes you have such a wonderful life that you actually spent your time to make that picture. Nice job, loser.

Counter your stuff? What stuff? Did you even read your own posts? Oh wait, you probably could not understand them like the rest of us. Niether you, nor anyone else has any concrete data because no one has taken the time to thoroughly test all the different synthetics in the Renesis. This lack of data does not mean that synthetics are safe in the Renesis, it just means that no extensive testing had been done.

Your whole thinking is based on the fact that few people have been running synthetics without any issues to date. They might be fine, they might not. Who knows? Oh wait, you did extensive testing in your six month old lab right? Idiot.

But like I said, if Mazda thought Synthetics would benefit the Renesis I am sure they would recommend it since it would decrease the amount of service work needed under the warranty period. And of course any manufacturer would discourage modifications because many people damage their cars with certain mods and then take them to the delaer to get fixed. You mind friend are dumb as a stump. And of course they recommend getting your car serviced at the dealer, wouldn't you?

so, according to your *logic* , everybody should listen to Mazda and always perform every single work at a Mazda Dealer right ? Cuz that should not Damage the car .... NOT

Keep in mind buddy Mazda does not recommend Synthetic for ALL OF THEIR CARS. Ok lets just say Synthetics are bad for Rotary engine, but what about their Piston cousins ? Damn It must be bad for them too ! NOT

People are so into Mazda's cover their *** marketing just like you. Go have fun re-build ur engines, buddy. Cuz thats probably the only thing you *understands* ...
