Using Mobil 1 in a Mazda Rotary Engine
I have a 2005 Mazda RX-8. This has a rotary engine, which injects oil into its intake path. Can I use Mobil 1 without risk of incomplete oil burn and or buildup?

Answer:
Mazda does not recommend the use of synthetic oils in its rotary engines. To help maintain your vehicle's warranty coverage, we suggest that you follow your car builder's engine oil recommendation.

Mazda does not recomend the use of olive oil in their engines either!!. It doesn't burn as well as vegetable oil.

Will using Pennzoil Platinum™ void any of the auto manufacturers’ warranties?
No. Pennzoil Platinum™ has been formulated with the requirements of the auto manufacturers in mind and so does not void any of their warranties. The only exception is that full synthetic motor oils should not be used in the Mazda Rotary engine which has unique and specific lubrication requirements. Back to Platinum questions.

They all claim Mazda says so. Hmm.. oh well, freedom of choice!

But still we have the same questions? Who told nycqps that synthetic is better for the rotary????

 

Counter your stuff? What stuff? Did you even read your own posts? Oh wait, you probably could not understand them like the rest of us. Niether you, nor anyone else has any concrete data because no one has taken the time to thoroughly test all the different synthetics in the Renesis. This lack of data does not mean that synthetics are safe in the Renesis, it just means that no extensive testing had been done.

Your whole thinking is based on the fact that few people have been running synthetics without any issues to date. They might be fine, they might not. Who knows? Oh wait, you did extensive testing in your six month old lab right? Idiot.

But like I said, if Mazda thought Synthetics would benefit the Renesis I am sure they would recommend it since it would decrease the amount of service work needed under the warranty period. And of course any manufacturer would discourage modifications because many people damage their cars with certain mods and then take them to the delaer to get fixed. You mind friend are dumb as a stump. And of course they recommend getting your car serviced at the dealer, wouldn't you?

Keep in mind buddy Mazda does not recommend Synthetic for ALL OF THEIR CARS. Ok lets just say Synthetics are bad for Rotary engine, but what about their Piston cousins ? Damn It must be bad for them too ! NOT
