If you do track hard or it's a track only car then sythetis is the way to go because regardless of what oil you use, your engine will likely need a rebuild before 50k anyway.
I know there are more categories but the bottom line is that 90% of the RX8 owners fall into the first category.
Oh, and if you disagree, then you disagree. You won't convince me otherwise. If Mazda thought the Renesis would benefit from Synthetics then they would recommend it like all the other manufacturers that recommend the use of sythetics in there engines. Some people think Mazda only made the statement against sythetics because they have not done extensive testing of the different synthetic oils in the rotary. There are negative issues with using it, and these negative issues outweigh the potential benefits of using it. Now of course, if you race then.......

Its always easier to just say not recommended than test everything. Look, I can type Not-Recommend not-recommend and non-recommend. Isnt that much EASIER to do ?
Then why bash Synthetic ? The world not gonna stop just because u dont use synthetic, u dont use it., fine, no body cares, but dont start crap that u know nothing about.

Just make sure you rev it once in a while.
OH and remember, put Synthetic oil only. Thats what I do.

I think you should not make this kind of statements. As you mentioned, people that are against synthetics don't have anything backing them up. Neither do you.

I have nothing against Dino, u can use it. But dont bash anything that one has no experience in.
I post that not long ago I remember, does it matter? I post what I feel, just like ppl said *Put Dino only* oh I am the star of the day ! Someone repost my stuff !
There are facts that Synthetic Oil do better than Dino. Want me to post them up again ? I said it over and over already. Jesus christ
*Damn what happened to the server? getting these database error so often now, did I post too much?*

Ricer is Nicer.....
Don't laugh TOO hard....

Finally oil sparyed inside the rotor cavities can contact the rotor oil seal " O " rings and oil inside the combustion chamber can contact the housing seal "O" rings. Long term exposure to synthetic oils may cause these seals to swell and deteriorate, resulting in an exchange in engine.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA HAAHAHaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
STOPPPP ! I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING ! OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!
I was one of the first people in the world to use syn in a rotary, it was the new "Mobil One". I read about it in Popular Mechanics in 1976, and put it in my RX-3. Within a month the oil had destroyed the side seal 'O' rings, and water/antifreeze was being burned, oil was in the radiator, it was a mess.
Mazda stepped up and I got a new engine (at 110,000 miles, and I was the second owner) something unheard of in the warranty world at that time.
My fault, I wanted 'nothing-but-the-best' for my baby, and it destroyed my engine.
I'll tell that story over and over, I am proud of the way they looked after me, and it's a big part of why I'm back with the an '8.
Just some "old news" you might not know......

Here's what they're telling CX-7 owners:
Thank you for contacting Mazda.
Even though synthetic oil has been on the market for a while, Mazda
does not recommend its use in our vehicles because it has not been tested
in the long run on the Mazda engine. The recommendation for oil that is
listed in the Owners Manual is also what the Mazda engineers recommend.
Since our office is not technically trained, I would be unable to
advise you what could be damaged if synthetic oil is used. Using synthetic
does not mean something will become damaged, Mazda just can not
recommend it.
Again, thank you for contacting Mazda.

"All Synthetic Oil company gonna all go out of business"
Again, where do you get that I am bashing sythetics.
IN A TYPICAL FOUR STROKE AUTOMOBILE ENGINE, I RECOMMEND THE USE OF SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL FOR LONGER OIL CHANGE INTERVALS AND A CLEANER ENGINE.

Here is the logic I'm getting out of synthetics (for the regular consumer, not racing intended)
1) You can go for longer between oil changes.
2) Rungs cleaner (because it lasts longer as mentioned in #1).
3) Engine runs cooler (this is relative). It depends on MANY variables to be able to say this. If the engine is under constant stress, maybe.
Now just using regular dino...
1) It doesn't last as long as synthetics. Therefore, you must change your oil more often ..(actually, lubrication properties of the oil are never lost. In theory you can run the same oil for 20k miles and it will still lubricate). But it will be dirty...(subject for another day).....
2) If using dyno, oil change intervals are shorter, so therefore the engine will still run cleaner..... (no need for the extra money unless you have so much that you don't know where to spend it). There is no point in performing oil changes every 1.5k to 3k miles if using synthetic....
3) Engine running cooler??? Planning on racing....
///////////////////////////////////
Bottom line..... No one on this forum has proven to me that by using synthetic oil my Renesis engine will last longer and get less wear and tear... and all that ****.
I'm going to bed.... Goodnight everybody!

Do you know how many times did Edison has to try before the first working blub came out ?
This is what we're going to find out, so far, no problems, and many people switched to Synthetic oil has like 2-3 times the miles than I do STILL has NO problems.
Test contiunes.
Good night !
