Memoirs of A New RX-8 Owner

Sunlight streams through the window, filling the room with a warm yellow light...

With one eye cracked open, I watched the alarm clock wondering who would win this morning's staredown. It's telling me it's 7:00 am, but I can hear it...mocking me as it has for countless days. Must be nice to have just one job and be really smug about being accurate. Click....click...

Click....7:01 am

Me vs Going to Work Today: 1:0

Click...click....Red LED on black...that's looks really nice...never really noticed how attractive that really is...but I'll be damned if I compliment the clock today... Click...click...A sparkle to my right catches my eye...bright...then even brighter....must be some trick to get me to blink....

HOLD ON...

Was it a dream?

Against my better judgement, I break the staredown to look over to my desk drawer. An idle beam of sunlight seems to dance round and round a single blade of steel...

My next action confirmed that a 32 year old man can move with the vigor and energy of young boy when properly motivated,

I leapt up to look at this object, hearing the subtle laughter of my alarm clock claiming another victory...but it seems distant now..there before me...I see it:

A small Black Hilt and Blade of Brilliant Steel stared back up at me:

Zoom...

Like a modern day King Arthur; I raise this dimunitive sword into the air for all to acknowledge that I am the rightful ruler of my kingdom!

Somewhere, in a small town in Wisconson..there is much cheering and rejoicing...

Zoom...

-------------------------------------------

Moments later, a man walks out of his home. One cannot help but notice he stands a little taller today, seems a little stronger, a little faster...He approaches his new metal steed; with bright eyes welcoming his arrival and a low hum of excitement.

Pawing at the cold stone under her feet, she rumbles to life...tugging..pulling..aching to feel the wind...

"The day is waiting for us, what do you say we make it ours?" he asks.
-------------------------------------------

ZOOM... ZOOM...

Kudos for the best written self-intro of a new owner. Truly inspiring.

Nice literature....

But if you ever need any help on any technical aspect of the car, for the love of God... PLEASE... keep it easy.

Sounds like an overdose of Zoom-agra.

If this condition persists for more than four hours, consult your doctor! :D
