the problem with Spokane (where i live) is that there doesn't seem to be any places that know anything about rotaries, they tend to ask me if it's a v6 or a 4 cyl. so needless to say i dont feel like taking it to a place where they dont' know anything about the car itself.

so the dealership says that it's not the compression, he said that he tried to warranty it out but that it needs a tune up, new spark plugs, and the sea foam stuff. i'm getting it detailed too. uhg, gonna cost about 800$ this is on top of the other 2,800$ i've spent on it last month (new emissions fan, new o2 sensor, mazdaspeed side skirts, rear bumper, installation, stainless steel braided clutch line, new tires, oil change) uhg, this car is bleeding money!

How is any of the above in bold the cars fault?!
Sorry to hear about your situation but I think you could save a ton of money doing the work your self.... hit up the DIY section these cars are EXTREMELY easy to work on... especially the tune up....
