back in 2009 the SS was the car to get..... there is always going to be something faster and better. anyways my car is modded and faster than a stock 5.0L and challenger.
heres my youtube channel. check the car out . send me a message if you want. to prove. i would loved to see you find those pics on google. the only way you will find them is if you find the thread i started on my camaro forums under my name. http://www.youtube.com/user/360mmspider?feature=mhee and if you look in my channel comments somebody once said "nice rx8" so i had a rx8 on there one time also. i will even put a comment in my own channel saying rx8r3mike.

I just read back some of the topic, but not all. I just wanna know...
So, you're the first owner of a Camaro SS?
Your parents bought you this, right?
I'm just curious... How much of your money is actually going into this car?

now when i got the car i had no intention of modding it. but as time went on and i learned a little more about cars and my best friend got a 350z that he started to mod and i wanted to mod also. in the end i needed a new car for that, and the SS was the car to get back in 2009. and it came with a corvette LS3 engine prefect for modding.
i got rid of my rx8 because of the engine. the car is cool and fun to drive, but if you have cash to spend on mods. the rx8 rotary is not a good choice plain and simple. and i learned that the hard way.

I didn't have a nice car, but I did have a nice motorcycle.
That saved me a lot of money, and made me happy when I rode it in the mountains, and after work.
It also didn't make me into a douche who was running around trying to impress people by belittling other people's enjoyment of their own things.
One day you will grow up.
Luckily you will forget all about this thread.
What you should do is have your mom and dad read this thread, and have them help you understand all the faults you currently have in your views of others, and your view of yourself.
Don't worry, everyone grows up someday.

Well, rotaries just mod differently than piston engines, they're a world different.
I know both sides of the fence well, I will say, I do have a bit more experience with piston engines, but I've dealt with both.
But what exactly are you looking for anyway? Because unless you're breaking into the engine it's self, it's all the same, as far as an intake on one car is an intake on another, exhaust is exhaust, big brake kit's are big brake kits, yatta yatta. Sure, we don't have a Super Chevy magazine or whatever, but we don't entirely need that.
One thing I will say, let the car be something to represent you. If you go with a mainstream car, you're just showing you're a mainstream person. If parts aren't available easily, and you give up, that shows your desire for it.
I spent 3 years working on getting the Mazdaspeed kit for my Mx6. Three. Years. I was 16 at the time I started working on finding it. Hell, I had to order stuff from out of the country.
But ultimately, there is aftermarket support, down to being able to run dry sump, adjustable cam gears, coilovers, big brake kits, exhaust, everything for my 1994 Mx6, you've just gotta dig deeper than the front cover of a parts magazine for the good stuff.
I'm not trying to be a *****, I'm just saying, for one, you're lucky to have that chance.
I will also say though, on other car forums, before page 2 hit, of you putting down our car, you'd be banned. Either by the administrators, but they used something called "Karma", which other members gave/took away. But if it got low enough, you were toast. Now, it was a fair system, the kinks worked out, but I've seen it happen, so you're lucky, since you're on an RX8 FORUM putting down OUR car.
I'll just give you the benefit of the doubt that in the furute, you'll realize you just weren't diving deep enough into this.

When I was your age, i lived on my own, and had to pay for EVERYTHING out of my own pockets. I earned everything I made, and owned, which wasn't much.

i am not impressing people by talking bad about others joys in life. that doesn't make much sense to be honest.
BTW my goals in life right are to get good grades," females", make money on the side. those 3. isn't that what college kids do ?

i say it how it is, no ***** footing around. my camaro sucks for handling, has bad blind spots, and i wish chevy used live rear axles. the only thing that car is good for is looking good and going fast in a straight line. it weighs to much, but hey that v8 sure sounds good !

Well, I just have problems when things that aren't necessarily true are said.
If you put down our mpg, I wouldn't do anything but laugh. I mean, I do whenever I'm at the pump with my friends, and say, his Miata is still at half a tank. I just say that somewhere, a man who owns a Prius felt like he's just not doing enough.
But my point is, there are some things you should just refrain from saying, because it's not going to get anyone anywhere. Oh, and when you have such a reputation, you won't really be welcomed at meets, I've seen it happen. And trust me, it's just not worth it then, when your own community in the end ends up disowning you from it.
But, college? You're 16, right? Shouldn't you mean high school? Haha.
Oh, and disregard females, acquire currency.
Trust me. Acquire that currency.

Then how old are you, honestly?
Eh, I've been in a car club locally, I just haven't made it out to any of the meets lately. I would this weekend, but where it's at, I don't feel like spending the money to go there, haha.

Ah, wow, and your parents are still helping you out? Just saying, but you're lucky then. My parents just let me move back in, that's it. But I can't complain, free rent and meals.
It wasn't so much of that, the gas prices, as just, I just didn't really want to. Laziness was more or less the factor why, haha.

^you're all over the place with your arguments. first it's saying the engine sucks. second it's the lack of aftermarket service, next it's drag > corners. make up your mind. second of all, you can't be in college with your level of literary education. reading your posts makes my eyes bleed. you type like my 14 year old neighbor who thinks punctuations marks and spelling is not 'hip.' and if you are 16 and in college that must mean you live in europe.
the rx8 is a great car, and if you were a true enthusiast, you'd take the time and effort to configure your own car instead of relying on a market
edit: i'm 21 and i pay for my own gas, rent, schooling. my parents bought me my rx8 r3 as a gift and it is by far the best car i've owned and driven (includes zr1, m3, camaro ss, shelby, wrx sti, tt, isf [mostly by the family, relatives])

And you guys are making me feel bad. I wanted an R3 badly, but doubted I could even get a used one without need of a cosigner, so I got the 8 I got for half the price to be sure I could get it on my own, haha.
...I heard you didn't want your Recaro's anymore. -Nudge nudge-

how does that not make sense to you, never said the engine sucks or is bad. i did say the rx8 is slow in a straight line.
the rx8 lacks power after market parts at a ok price i understand because there is not much you can do to that engine. to gain power like piston engines. i prefer drag over cornering, but i would take both if i could. and more people buy camaros and mustangs and challengers. so thats got to say something about what most american people want in a car.
also i am lazy on a car forum, and write enough essays, so i dont care if what i say looks like a 14YeAr Old

Us Americans also have a shorter attention span usually, when it comes to that. I personally don't like drag, because, well, say in general, a sub 15 second 1/4 mile is just 15 seconds or so of it. I prefer to be out on a track for an extended amount of time.
But, in all reality, typing like how I do, just using the shift button, the period, and whatnot, isn't near as bad as an essay. It doesn't even take but a fraction of a second to hit the buttons, and your posts look a whole lot better.
Again, not trying to be a *****, or a douche, but it's the truth. Heck, I know plenty of people who flat out ignore people who don't use proper grammer and whatnot at least to this extent.

Yeah, I know more people here go to drags and such, but it's still to each their own, I just don't really enjoy drag racing. Plus I'm not one to launch my car hard, I like my drivetrain intact, haha.
