How long will you keep your RX-8?

How long do you plan to keep your RX-8?

If you are going to replace it (or already have) which car will you choose?

I'm considering changing cars in Feb '09 after four years of ownership. Currently, considering the BMW 135i or BMW Z4 M Coupe.

Nice, which model years?

I'd love to have an FC turbo or FD but I don't have room for a 3rd car and it would be a shame to daily drive one through the Illinois winters.

Till the day my car spontaneously combusts into nothingness. Or till i get out of college and graduate school and get some money. Or Till gas becomes $100 dollars a gallon. Then I'll buy a pair of shoes and start walking or ride a bicycle

'til mine blows up, then again I just got it 2 days ago so I'm still in shock and aww when I walk to the parking lot and remember "Hey that's MY car."

It was a tough choice between the Pontiac GTO and the Mazda RX-8 for me. The cars are so much different I know but I just loved them both... I'm very happy with my choice.

Until the next Mazda rotary car is released or a significantly revamped 8 emerges. If neither one of those pan out I still crave something German and would get another FC RX-7 on the side to carry the rotary torch onward (FC may happen much sooner while I still have the 8).

The new RX-7 seems appealing if it goes through as intended.

Z4 M Coupe would be a worthy replacement. I'd hit that. Or replace the 8 with a Cayman S. Else keeping the 8, don't see any other cars that fancy my driving tastes.

My thoughts today? Until after I get to the point where it as my second garage baby car, isn't appealing enough, and my budget supports better. Note that it is currently my daily driver, and once it's MOSTLY paid off I intend to purchase a second vehicle, likely a midsize pickup/SUV. Once that is paid off, and not in needs of replacement, I may consider a new garage baby, weekend driver...

I second that. I'll probably hold onto this until its paid off, maybe a year longer and then I'll trade it in on an Audi or a BMW.

4-5 years, post-college. Then want an E46 M3, or to put together a very nice custom turbo'd 8.

I haven't really thought about a next car, I'm going to keep it through college and hopefully make some money and get a turbo!

3 yrs already . I would only replace it with something significantly better - perhaps a supercar . For now I like the idea of just improving it until I can go no further then - dunno ....
