Ban??? Potentiated you are making a huge deal out of nothing...anyone that knows expo's situation knows that it was rebuilt with 110k miles and now has 18,000 miles on the new....there is no way that he but 110k on then another 118k on another engine....it's called context clues remember learning that in like 1st grade....oh nevermind maybe u didn't make it through that grade by the sounds of it!

....Expo, you need to fess up here. As an oldtimer who has earned a lot of respect here over the years, you're risking your credibility. You're not in the high mileage club anymore, you don't have 128,000 miles. Period. It's not a big deal. What's up with the neurotic obsession? Just say it the way it is. I find this extremely strange.
Expo posted a very large and detailed thread about his Renesis rebuild. Tons of hits. That's hardly the obfuscation you're accusing him of. He's not trying to fool anyone.

Not trying to go off topic, but I never understood why people wait till after their warranty is up to perform a major mod like that. I personally would go that route while the engine still had fairly low miles (under 25k) for obvious reasons, but also, if something did go wrong, I could at least have the option of pushing my luck by taking out the F/I and seeing if I could get whatever happened with the engine repaired under warranty.

What I said is right on and expo has acknowledged it. It needed to be said and I said it. Let's move on.

bear with me impotent one as I appear to be an idiot, but this is expo's first post in this thread where he clarified a comment made by another member.
How this translates to him saying something otherwise is ludicrous. Please, stop being an a$$ and we'll move along just fine... heck even a subtle apology might go a ways to making others here feel like you're not a complete waste of our time.

Ok, but you opened the door again....
This was after his initial response where he stated the same thing he's said in countless other threads.... 110k on old motor, now around 18k on the new one.
Most of us would consider this humor (unfortunately at your expense)...
Please get off your high horse. Whatever point it is you've tried to make has fallen on deaf ears. EVERY LAST PERSON in this thread has TOTALLY disagreed with your perspective and that my friend makes you out of touch.
It's okay, really, try it real slow. "Expo and crew, I'm sorry for being a *****." Say it to yourself a couple times then try it on us... It'll go a long way, I promise. Otherwise you're just gonna keep looking like an a$$hat and seriously, none of us want that.
I think your reading skills need to be improved, I have never claimed to have 128,000 miles on my original engine. In post 28 of this thread Razz posted that I had rebuilt my engine. I quoted his post and said that he was CORRECT. That it happened around 110,000 which still is a good amount of miles to have on a original engine. I then updated my current total milage. 128,000 still using the original trans, and CAT by the way.

Here's another perspective. Go back to the beginning of the thread and read it as if you have no stake whatsoever in the matter. Separate all of your baggage --- your preconceptions -- your anomosity -- your jealousy -- whatever it is that separates you from the norm.
Then consider how an outsider may perceive your course of action. I have to do it all time -- disconnect myself from an interaction and consider the viewpoint of a complete unbiased outsider. Doing so has more than once illicited an apology from me, even in my professional dealings as a senior level manager.
Hopefully you'll see where I'm going, but I'm doubtful. Anyone who results to basic insults shows symptons of larger underlying character flaws and defects. Hopefully all you've got is a minor case of terrets or assholeism that can pass with a little bit of logic and time.

Of course it didn't make perfect sense to you. At face value, it would appear he's saying he got 110,000 miles on the original engine and 128,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. He only has 18,000 on the rebuilt engine so just about anyone would say 110,000 on the original and 18,000 so far on the rebuilt.
Speaking in terms of total miles is ridiculous. Total rotary miles. Total miles driving cars. Total miles on a motorcycle. Total rotary miles versus total piston engine miles. Total Mazda miles. No one does that. No one would do that. No one reading would be able to decode it without additional info or previous knowledge about that person's history.
Oh, apparently my reading skills don't need to be improved.

Think of it this way. If he goes to sell the car, how many miles will he be required by law to claim? 110,000 + 18,000, or just 128,000... Don't know what your state's laws are, but everyone that I know of says that car has 128,000 miles on it. However, the engine only has 18,000, which is the only thing important for this thread. EXCEPT that his 1st engine went 110,000, which he already said.
What's the big hangup on this, anyhoo? You've been around for 6 years, and you're getting hungup/strung out on THIS thread?? Chill out!
Anyway...
My '04 has 72,011 miles on it, as of this morning's commute. Time to add another quart of oil (I add 1 per every 1,000 miles, on average).

if you are referring to me stating that expo1 is on his original engine. I made no such claim. only knew he was over the 100k mark. any of the posts I made were only pointing out the high mileage club and that what I last knew, Lambert was on original engine with his 166k+ mileage. 2nd, if he rebuilt his engine, still original engine. Even if some consider that "not original engine", his mileage thread tracked through 110k and nothing in there in regards to a new engine. cant believe how petty some posters become on these boards.. ridiculous..

I waited to this point to remind everyone that the title of this thread is "Highest Mileage 2004 on original original engine?".
Time to move on.

No, you are not my father
Purchased an '04 with 49,xxx miles the week before last. Previous owner got the recall notice and the original engine checked out fine - so it remains.

I have seen maybe 3 or 4 100k engines come in from 04 but I haven't been doing receiving anymore, moved me to main assembly and wherever they need me until the new person is trained, today I built 4 then I moved over to top assembly(prep for test run) attatching all the sensors/electrical/manifolds.......I hate top assembly . Had to vent a little.
