The rectangular depression in the trunk, so beloved of us owners for bring pizza back to the house, can also be used to maximize luggage space. Simply fit a luggage piece in that's sized to the width of the depression, and load the bag standing up. That's one big *** piece of luggage you can haul. Use the back shelf (if you dont have the spare,) for a carry-on sized luggage or a large duffle bag. You still have plenty of room for yet another smaller piece of luggage, and additional space on either side for more crap.


The RX-8 is really a nice Grand Tourer. Or a corner carver. Or whatever you want it to be whenever you want it to be.

 

It's also good for fitting a nitrous bottle

 

but that's not in that rectangular depression.

Nitrous can get you a $2000 fine and up to 6 months in jail here in Ontario soon.
