Took the family out east with the 8, fully loaded: all four seats occupied, and the trunk full.

The rectangular depression in the trunk, so beloved of us owners for bring pizza back to the house, can also be used to maximize luggage space. Simply fit a luggage piece in that's sized to the width of the depression, and load the bag standing up. That's one big ass piece of luggage you can haul. Use the back shelf (if you dont have the spare,) for a carry-on sized luggage or a large duffle bag. You still have plenty of room for yet another smaller piece of luggage, and additional space on either side for more crap.


The RX-8 is really a nice Grand Tourer. Or a corner carver. Or whatever you want it to be whenever you want it to be. :)

It's also good for fitting a nitrous bottle

but that's not in that rectangular depression.

Nitrous can get you a $2000 fine and up to 6 months in jail here in Ontario soon.

Wish it was round, for the spare tire.
