I just recently got my 8 back from months in the shop and am getting nothing but parts for Christmas, any suggestions on what would b the best parts to put in a 2004 8 with a recently replaced engine, a renesis

Right now I'm just street racing and going to the drag strip whenever there's local events. But I want to begin drifting eventually. Parts I'm getting for Christmas I want to boost horsepower and torque, but strengthen engine in long run to eventually put on some nos

Yeah? Grandparents own a crap load of land has and has a bunch of useless roads that my grandfather let's us race when the Gmom ain't their lol. It really is a dream, everyone needs a racing sanctuary when they teenagers, would save a lot of lives

dude this happens in Ga with folks that have a lot of land with paved roads on it.
Its no worse that private rental of a race track. Grow up. The guy is not doing anything wrong.
It could be smarter with the proper safety equipment present etc--but its not illegal.
What part of Ga are you located in? We have to get you on a road track--like road atlanta or roebling road. The 8 is NOT a drag car.
PM me if you want--I am in Macon
The Ga rx8 club is here too--lots of good folks and we have a BIG track event at Road Atlanta the 1st w/e of Dec with NASA SE---sign up!

The OP IS doing something wrong by talking about it on our forum, which forbids street race talk. Keep it in the back yard- that's all we are saying.
Either way, I'm out of here. Good luck with your new ride OP. Learn as much as you can. With someone like OD in your neck of the woods, you'll learn much

Don't try and drag the 8
And as far as racing try and keep it on the track with educated drivers that can teach you more about car control
The private "street race" idea is going to be trouble without the proper safety precautions and experience
Like OD said come up to a track event

well he's not talking about street racing. he's talking about private racing on " the back 40" so to speak. just like kids with dirt bikes, quads, snowmobiles do all over "rural" America. maybe its hard for "City Kids" to undersand

Thank for the back up y'all. New guys need it some time. But got bad news today :/ (if it ends up going through), my papa may start renting land off for hunting to some of his buddies. So backroad whipping might get limited to certain months or cut out all together Looks as though tracks bout to become my sanctuary

I grew up in the middle of no where in Illinois. I'm well aware of what can happen in this stuff, and I rather see it in a car. I've know more people to get very badly hurt or killed on bikes and quads then in cars and trucks.

Yeah, a bike or quad crash with no airbags to soften the blow and tress to smack into face first is so much safer than a car.

In a car you can die very easy at 140mph especially if you hit something solid. I'm not doubting that. But you are not going to hit those speeds on some road on a farm. At least it's not very likely. You have some level of protect well above and beyond what you get on any bike or quad. The accident death rates speak for them selves. Just ask any one that works in an ER.
