Got backed into...
It was weird. I pulled into the parking lot, and it was on a slight incline. I saw someone about to pull out, but in front of me was some chick in a car that all of a sudden just stopped and started going into reverse, maybe at 3mph. It was scary. For a second I was assuming she was going to stop, but she wasn't about to slow down, so I honked for a couple seconds and then hit me. I had an instinct to try to go into reverse gear, but I decided against it, bad decision. She would of seen me if she looked in her rearview mirror, my car isn't that low, but she said it was low and couldn't see me. Bs. Also asked if I was speeding o_0
There were just scratches and a lot of dirt I could get out with my hand...it was great to see no dents. Seems like the front bumper is stronger than it looks. It's just very light scratches in a small area and maybe around the area that encircles the grill. I left my grill marking on her bumper, but it was also dirt that could come of by buffing it. I could probably take care of the scratches with my porter cable if they don't go away by hand.
I just got my car back from getting a new bumper, it would of been sad to have it in the shop for a whole week again.
And, asked her for her insurance just in case, she said she had insurance but didn't have the number with her. Yeah...bs...but I didn't feel like calling the cops and having the whole situation from this summer happen again. Got contact info but I'll just let it go, the bumper seems fine.
If anyone has some kind of wizardry magic that could cure my bad luck curse I've had lately, please let me know.
p.s: Women can't drive.

Damn Raptor, that sucks! If I didn't know better, I'd think you drove a silver or something.
Give the porter cable a good workout and it should hopefully get rid of the scratches. Let us know how it turns out.

I would have listened to my instinct & backed up without getting hit!!
And, it sounds like something of the sort has happened before?
Common denominator is???? LOL! Sorry, couldn't resist. My hubby & I enjoy our competitive driving. He just bought a Pontiac Solstice, which he loves. But, I love mine more!
Gotta hate it to have some crap like that happen. She must have been young....
Poor dear.

Hey man. I'm glad to hear your damage is minimal. Definitely could have been worse...like me.
Someone hit and run my car this weekend while the girlfriend and I were out enjoying a nice dinner on a summery Friday night. I have a dented driver's side fender and front bumper. A witness grabbed her license plate...we'll see where it goes from here.

OMG!
The worse part is they probably don't have insurance.
Glad someone got the tag, that totally stinks!
How nice that there are still people out there that will "do the right thing".

And yes, it feels like all the ethical people in this world are slowly dwindling...

Then when the cops came she told them I slammed on the brakes, when I was sitting there for about half a minute waiting for someone to back out. She was coming down a ramp in a parking garage. So much for honesty. The potential common denominator was having my 8 in the shop again for a new bumper, and driving around with a damaged bumper for weeks. I'm glad it didn't happen.
Another chick, eh?
Man, what's up with women? Okay, okay, I'm not the standard. But, then, there are a lot of us who aren't the standard.
What I can't stand is to see a mom in the front seat of her minivan yacking on her phone & screaming at the kids to hush who are in the back! It amazes me everday whilst driving the ignorance that is allowed to have a drivers license. I saw a guy on 95 northbound the other day, in the left hand passing lane, no less, travelling approximately 70 mph, with his head down in the floor board of the passenger side of his car! He would glance up every once in a while, then disappear back down. I thought, hmmmmm, headless driver? No way! There are some crazy freakin' people on the road. You are contained in what could end up being your steel coffin & yet you drive like that?! Sometimes, I wish I were a cop....
Wait, nevermind, I take that back.

It's okay, I agree.
My hubby stopped using his blinker. He said it's because if he turns it on, people close the gap. I think he's nuts, but I HAVE seen it happen. I use my blinker, then move over anyway. As long as there is room of course. The secret is to turn it on when you KNOW you have the space. I find that if I use my blinker, usually people will back off. Just depends on what type of driver they are. And, if you're a jerk, I don't want to be in front of you anyway. Driving today is a real test. I think of it as a sport.

how true, yesterday i was coming across our causeway to brunswick and one lane was closed(normally two lanes) and traffic was backed up, i let a big truck in front of me in a heavy traffic situation when he might of had to wait awhile. Later down the causeway when the lane opened back up into 2 i had to get over into the left lane to turn(it was still pretty heavy traffic) i put on my blinker and started to get over and the same big truck that i let in sped up into the space and refused to let me in...some drivers are such jerks...
