Got the 2005 key to work...

So I got the key to work and I like it alot--but is it just me or does anybody else think that the steps are rediculous :D "wait 24s turn key 3 times press button twice" :p Its like magic! I felt like I was supposed to stomp in the ground while patting my head 4 times and then crip walk once while texas two stepping twice to make it work. Waiting on my Redline Goods black boot with tan stiching next as well as the DLS rotor accents. After that is done I will go ahead and finish my sound system off.

Where'd you get it and how much, if you don't mind me asking? I'm really thinking of getting one, but ~$200 is a bit much for a key. Glad to hear it works though.

I got it from mazdaparts.com aka rx8garage.net--it was $175 shipped and the dealer charged me $10 to cut the key. The only way you can justify the cost is by giving it to yourself as a treat.

Mine works great in my 2004. Home Depot even cut the key for me for free. The only step that almost got me was the door open sensor/button pressing.
