Is this a good first mod?
For $10.00 more you can get Racing Beat springs and not have to deal with Ebay. Doing a search here for SpringTech you wont find many posts. Do one for Racingbeat Springs and you will get a ton. The Racing Beat springs also do not drop the car as much which might be a good thing. I would make my first mod sway bars.

im gonna be getting the eibach springs for my 8. even though the price is around 300 for those i believe that the price is worth it.
eibach is one of a handful of companies that actually make their own springs. they also provide a significant portion of ALL the wheeled motorsports springs world wide. they are a german company, and as you know, germans know how to engineer something. the drop is like 1.25 front, and like .8 rear. not aggressive, but looks good, handles good.
(also as a side note, if you ever need a spring custom manufactured, eibach can hand wind a spring to fit your exact needs)

Spring choice is very subjective. It depends on what you want from the suspension.
Ride quality, control, looks...
The bottom line is you need to choose a reputable manufacturer.
Eibach, H&R Tien Racing Beat etc. Don't go for "cheapy deals"
Just my 2¢

Look at some of the pics of lowered RX-8. Personally, I do not like the slammed view of RX-8 with stock wheels and stock sides (wheel gaps look funny to me) so for me I decided not to go for a high drop. And I am going to change the shocks at the same time.

Did you see the "ST" at the top of the page? I've never heard of SpringTech. Sounds like a Suspension Techniques rip off brand. I'd stay away from ebay products since my *** would be riding on it.
