Eibach Springs

so the BHR site has those for 280 and the Progress Tech Sport Springs for 200 are the eibach really that much better? or would i just be paying for the name? im looking for springs that are going to be in a daily driver car in the summer and i dont track it so i dont want supper stiff springs like the teins or the sprints witch iv read offer alot of stiffness in the car???

also another question would it be a good idea to only get a front strut bar and not a back since i have a sub.... or would that mess up my handling causing oversteer or understeering?

thanks for the help dont know to much about it...

I'd go by either the numbers of price, spring rates, and drop height or read reviews of others on here. I just got new 40-series tires, and that small adjustment already made the ride noticeably harsher. How much more would new springs and struts add to that?

Forget the strut bar.

Get some Racing Beat springs. High quality and reliable.

Perfect stffness for the street and some tracking.

I dunno, I have seen spring failures on three 8's with RB springs. Granted the customer service was great and they warrantied them no problem but still something worth mentioning.

Eibachs are great and I have never heard of them or seen them ride uneven on an 8 and i have them on both of my Maxima's and they were great.

You cannot go wrong with progress either, a bud here has them on his 8 and the drop is almost the exact same as my Teins. he is happy with them thus far.

That being said, Teins are my personal fav, never had a single issue and they work best with the Koni Yellows but you will get an extra .5" of drop and so I have Bilstein HD's but only because as of right now I don't want to be any lower than I already am.

This is something I've read about but the eibachs now advertise more drop in the front. Maybe there are two eibach kits? At some point I think the drop was 1" front and rear (makes the front look higher) and then the newer one that drops 1.2 front and .8 in the back?

This member has these ones and it doesn't look much higher up front:

I'm leaning towards eibach with bilstein HD shocks when its time to upgrade, I would like a decent drop (RB is not enough) and keep a somewhat smooth ride which I think this combo will do, I'm just afraid of ending up with the front looking a lot higher than the back.

yea thats what i was a lil bit lost on as in how the front could be the same if the drop is more in the front then it is in the back... that black car looks pretty perfect for me.... and the progressive offer the same amount of drop but they are 80 bucks cheaper... so i think ima just go with them.

does anyone on here have photos with the progressive springs?

PM Hoss-05, he should have some pics of his car, he has the Progressive springs. I have some of his car but they are right after the install and they have settled a bit since.

Have you tried their site?

http://www.progressauto.com/products.../productID/616

That actually looks lower than the eibachs even though the drop is supposed to be the same. These are all "estimated" so it seems progress are a bit on the lower side. I think progress are also a bit stiffer, that's why I was thinking of going with the eibachs.

All springs are different, we recently had some Tanabe's, Progressive's, and Teins all in one location and the differences in drops were all about the same with the exception on the Tanabe's being a little lower in the rear but honestly no one would be able to really tell the difference by looking without measuring.
