What pre-mix ratio should I use with Sunoco 89 octane driving in the winter months in Indiana?
Note: I live on the North side of town but commute to the South side of town for work and since it's farther South my NeroMazmax data logger shows 8 degree warmer temps at lunch time and the DIY section of this forum with Series II oil winter oil cooler block off plate (I used 5 zip ties and not 6 cuz my litter brother took one to fix his skateboard) and I'm thinking that when I did an oil filter analysis and found .00000000237 parts per million of uranium 236 I should probably go with a little more pre-mix about 185F oil or get a new thermostat. Would you recommend a napa or fram?
This is my first time on this forum so please no flames.
Rotor on dude
Also, which is better a Nissan 370Z or a Shinka with graphite shift ***?

Just bought a 2008 Brilliant Black RX8 (GT package) and couldn't think of a better thread to put my first post in, so on to the dumb question!!
Where the hell is the AUX input for the stereo (because, really, it's a 2008...no way there isn't one!!)

I don't think they started putting them in untill 2009. But if it did have one it would be in the center consol...slide it back then open it and it would be right there next to the power outlet.

When I drive around in my 8 my gear shifter kinda bobs up and down with the imperfection id the road. Is this normal? its a MT 2008 GT.
I'm asking because I recently replaced the cross member that's right below the gear box and it came with a screw that didn't fit quite well in the brace. It just hit the underside of the gearbox only half way in. I guess it might be a support for the AT rx8's??

Ok, my turn I guess. I'll admit to right away that when I bought this car I didn't do close to enough research on it, so after the fact, I got the service history from Mazda and I was hoping you guys could shine some light on a few of the entries:
8/4/2008 - 11917 miles - ENG,REMAN/NO GSKTS M/T
6/25/2008 - 11748 miles - ENG,REMAN/NO GSKTS M/T
6/18/2008 - 11748 miles - MSP16 ENGIN LACK OF
6/18/2008 - 11748 miles - KIT, CATALYTIC CONVERTER
9/12/2006 - 215 miles - KIT, CATALYTIC CONVERTER
I'm not the brightest out there, so I thought ENG,REMAN was a new re-manufactured engine. But two in 200 miles? Thought KIT, CAT would be a new cat, but at 215 miles?
So I'm probably wrong..

I was actually considering switching to synthetic oil (Royal Purple). However I have put 35K miles on my car already and have only used non synthetic 5W20. I have hear that there are some potential problems with switching to synthetic after using something else for some time. Anyone know if there are any precautions I should take when switching, or whether I should switch at all?

There are other alternatives, I think there are a few companies making a similar product which integrates in the same manner (IceLink, XLink, and I think at least one company has changed it's name since then), I really dont remember where I bought my kit from, but one piece of advice: do not order the blue tooth kit which comes optional with this kit, as it does not work; I ended up taking it out.
