Does a moutain bike fit into the trunk?
I may be the only one stupid enough to try this, but I can fit a full-size road bike into the back seat area (I haven't tried the trunk). Just throw an old blanket down in the back, push the passenger seat all the way forward and down, and take the front wheel off to put it in the trunk. It's a tight fit, especially if you make sure not to get your interior dirty with the chain or tires. You need to rotate the frame somewhat upright to get it in there. Oh, and make sure there's no one parked next to you on the passenger side. You'll need the room to manuever the bike in there.

Theres a thread here somewhere where somebody put a huge remote control airplane with like 10' wingspan in their 8. I'm too lazy to search, but you can if you wish to see it.

Fitting a full-size suitcase is a feat in itself, much less a langky, awkward shaped bike. Even removing the tires and all, I'm pretty sure the frame on a MB would be too large.
