Display question

was curious, on the main display, should the fan speed not light up when adjusted?? Everything else does? and I noticed it is there as if it should illuminate
Maybe not, but considering it looks light it should, I figured that when you adjust the fan, it would light up on the dash beside the temp?

That fan icon is a function not available on North America spec cars.. actually I forget what it's for.

The fan speed (and several other indicators in the vicinity) are only active on cars with automatic climate control. Since Mazda North America decided, in their infinite wisdom, not to give us that option, the segments remain unlit.

If there's one thing I'm going miss about my S15 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition it's going to be the automatic climate control.

I wonder if any aftermarket companies will look into this issue... <cough>hint!</cough>

That is exactly my thought... anyone out there will to pull their climate controls out and see what's up? What exactly is needed to make them automatic... then we can always check on sourcing the parts from Japan and decide just how badly you want the auto climate control.

FYI... got it in my S-Wagon... no biggie. I don't even have it set to fully auto as I want it to blow the air where I choose... ie defogger or feet or vents or etc. So mine is only set for auto fan speed.

Yeah the whole missing-auto-climate-control thing is strange indeed. It's not like auto climate control is new secret technology or anything. I mean, my 1981 Cadillac Coupe DeVille had auto climate control...

Hopefuly (if the dealer wasnt lying again) Ill be getting my car tommorow and I will look into the climate control thing.... its not a huge deal to me, I kind of find it annoying because in the car I usually drive it doesnt have it but in my dads hes got it... and I know once I get used to it, Id like it, but its something you need to get used to (on both ends)... But I think that this car should have came with climate control... AND A COMPASS whats the deal with that???
