I've been around there looking at 8's a year or so ago. Damn navigation unit got very confused somewhere in there, but I can't remember what town I was in that it kept wanting to make me do u-turns, and kept me going in circles.
When you go and look at it, if you don't get it that day, get the vin and go to a mazda dealer and have them pull the history up that way you have an edge, and maybe able to talk them down if some of the recalls haven't been done yet.

the vin number is listed on auto trader its an 04 so im a little weary cause i know theres a few issues but its not a bad deal GT only 29k miles black with gps 2tone leather interior its $16k which i woulda liked it to be a little lower for a 5 year old car but ive been searching for months now so.....plus i need to get rid of my TC

Hi guys! You alll seem to know everything there is to know about the RX8! So i'm hoping you can help me...
I think they're beautiful cars. I'd really like to purchase a used one 04-08 sometime in the next few weeks. But i've heard horror stories about the engines blowing up, excess oil being needed... "A lot" of mechanical issues...
Is this car really drawn to more issues then a piston based car? If so... Are the newer models a little bit more reliable?
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you RX CLUB!

thank you for the reply... as far as maintanence goes... tune ups, oil changes, tranny flush... what other kind of maintanence will it be needing? (sorry i'm not very car savy)

I love mines but taking some financial hits has proven I can no longer afford this car...and I dont even make car payments but when I look at my bank statement and see I spent $80 of gas in 3 days it kills me...
